A closer look

Choosing custom roller and solar shades.

Roller shades use a continuous fabric for a clean window profile. Start with the light-control choice: light-filtering fabrics soften daylight, blackout fabrics block light through the fabric, and solar fabrics use a specified openness to filter light while retaining some view.

Compare the exact fabric and operating choices before measuring. Some models offer cordless lifting, remote control or smart motors; these options have different fitting and power requirements. Configure one window at a time to review its complete price.

What is the difference between solar and blackout fabric?

Solar openness describes the open area of the weave. It is not a blackout percentage or a nighttime privacy guarantee. Blackout fabric blocks light through the material; light can still enter around an installed shade.

Should I choose inside or outside mount?

Check the recess depth and obstructions for inside mount. For outside mount, plan the full coverage and mounting surface. Use the exact product’s instructions for allowances and clearance.
